Denstone College is seeking to appoint a Chaplain (full or part-time) for September 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.
This is a full-time, interim post (initially for 3 years) which offers an exciting opportunity to work in vibrant moorland parishes along with a pilot scheme to support and develop Deanery life.
(2 days per week, plus Sundays)
We are seeking someone who:
has vision and enthusiasm to support our two small rural parishes
working together towards union;
is able to lead us in both traditional and contemporary worship and
to be a thought-provoking preacher;
will continue to develop the close relationship with our church
will engage with all elements of our community and enable and
support our pastoral care.
The Stanhope Deanery Plan involves joining eight parishes into a diverse rural Team Benefice. We seek an experienced, visionary leader for the strategically important Team Rector role, working with a team of clergy, Readers and lay ministers.
We are looking for someone to help our seven churches become vibrant,
vital, hearts of our communities.
