HAWKER. — On 20 June, the Revd Peter Charles Hawker: Rector of Leonora (1947-48); Assistant Curate of St Stephen’s, Gloucester Road, London (1948-51); Rector of Gautby with Waddingworth (1951-60); Vicar of Minting (1951-60); Secretary General of the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament (1956-85); Custos Thesauri of Lincoln Cathedral (1960-93); Vicar of Cherry Willingham with Greetwell (1960-69); St Botolph’s, Lincoln (1969-85); Canon and Prebendary of Lincoln Cathedral (1977-93); aged 87.

JACKSON. — On 10 July, the Revd Stanley Jackson: Chaplain to the Forces (1956-68); Vicar of Little Coates (1968-73); Curate-in-Charge of Bradley (1972-75); Team Rector of Little Coates (1973-78); Rector of Bradley (1975-78); Rector of Great Coates (1977-78); Rector of Ruskington (1978-86); Vicar of Dorrington (1978-82); Canon and Prebendary of Lincoln Cathedral (1979-97); aged 82.

MILES. — On 3 July, the Revd Ruth Cecilia Miles: Newcastle Diocesan Adviser in Children’s Voluntary RE (1952-60); Lincoln Adviser in Children’s RE, and Secretary to the Board of Women’s Work (1960-71); aged 93.

SIMPSON. — On 4 July, the Revd William Vaughan Simpson: Rector of Willersey with Saintbury (1961-73); Rural Dean of Campden (1969-73); Curate-in-Charge of Cherington and of Rodmarton (1973-76); Vicar of Clearwell (1976-79); aged 88.

WILSON. — On 10 July, the Revd David Merritt Wilson: Assistant Curate of St Paul’s, Brixton (1964-69); Public Preacher and Worker Priest in Southwark diocese (1969-97); aged 77.
