Scouts’ good deed

THE cheerful hard work of this group of Scouts from Rugby, in Coventry diocese, is helping to replace some of the gargoyles and repair the balustrading on Canterbury Cathedral. During three weekends before Christmas, they packed customers’ bags and chatted with shoppers at their local Iceland Food Store. As a result, including donations from the shoppers, they raised £1600, of which £500 has been given to the Save Canterbury Cathedral Fund.
