Lichfield lose, but still go through

THE LINE-UP for the quarter-finals of the 2008 Church Times Cricket Cup was completed this week.

Birmingham prevailed in their group after a rare tie on runs against Lichfield on Monday — Lichfield’s second tie this season. Birmingham opened, with 197 for 8. Lanham made 106 — his second successive century against Lichfield in the Church Times competition — and Turner made 36. Pallent took 4 for 26.
