Hard-fought matches for Cup semi-finals

THE semi-final places in the Church Times Cricket Cup competition were decided this week.

Lichfield defeated Chester by a comfortable 145 runs, on Monday. Lichfield batted first, and after four impressive per­form­ances posted 274 for 6. Reynolds made 75, Darlington 47, and Greg­ory and Hart 30 and a lively 55 respectively. The best of the bowlers were Bishop and Razzall, who took two wickets apiece for 58 and 54 runs. ...
