Update on hairshirts

SIX of the ordinands at the Church of Ireland Theological Institute in the diocese of Dublin have had their heads shaved for Lent, a penance well in accord with the monastic tradition. But legs waxed? Men? Four of them? No doubt the itching of the next few weeks will be a substitute for a hairshirt, but it still seems an act of courage.
