Recycling stones from Canterbury Cathedral

Sir, — As someone privileged to have been made deaconess, and ordained deacon and then priest at Canterbury Cathedral, I have in my possession a much prized carving of St Augustine’s Chair made from recycled stone (Letters, 12 August) taken from the Cathedral during restoration work in the 1980s.
