New Archbishop of Dublin & Glendalough elected

THE new Archbishop of Dublin & Glendalough was elected on Wednesday afternoon. He is the Bishop of Clogher, Dr Michael Jackson, who succeeds Dr John Neill on his retirement. Dr Jackson will be enthroned in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, on a date to be determined, after his appointment is approved by the House of Bishops. He is 54 and married to Inez, a doctor.
