Australian Ordinariate announced

THE Roman Catholic Church is expecting about 500 people to join the Australian Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross, to be formally launched by the Pope on 15 June.

A spokesman for the Australian Catholic Bishops’ Conference said he expected that there would be two parishes in Melbourne, two in Sydney, one in Brisbane, and one in Perth. A bishop for the new diocese would be announced in June.
