TAC Bishops oust Hepworth

THE Primate of the Traditional Anglican Communion (TAC), Arch­bishop John Hepworth, has been removed from his post with immediate effect.

The majority of the TAC College of Bishops met in Johannesburg last week, and resolved unanimously “that he cease to hold the office of Primate immediately”.

Archbishop Hepworth fell out with the College of Bishops as he tried to take the TAC into the Roman Catholic Church, and said that he would resign on Easter Day. Last ...
