Literary trail that won't grow cold

02 November 2006

Sir, - While we appreciate that Ronald Blythe was talking historically when he mentioned a "freezing Greta Hall" in "Word from Wormingford" ( 18 March), we would like to emphasise to your readers that it is no longer so. The home of Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Robert Southey is now a large family home offering extremely comfortable guest accommodation warmed by the very latest 21st-century technology, as well as the original open fires.
