Bishop vote is halted

ATTEMPTED election-rigging in Manicaland, Central Africa, has forced thpostponement of the election of its new Bishop. The process on Saturday 1 Julwas halted when lay people pointed out irregularities in the constitution omembers of the electoral college
 
The election, which took place in Mutare, was presided over by Mr JusticJames Kalaile, Provincial Registrar. Mr Kalaile was the judge who abandoned thtrial of Bishop Kunonga< href="/80256fa1003e05c1/httppublicpages/c5341c37800c6354802571a30048f0df?opendocumentnews, 7 july). six clergy and six lay people formed the electoral collegvoted by the synod, but the names of two clerics and one lay person had beedeleted and replaced with two new names
