Highgate School seeks to appoint an Assistant Chaplain to serve in the School’s chaplaincy from January 2018 or from a date to suit the successful candidate. The post-holder will assist the Chaplain, the Reverend Rachel Weir, in serving the large community of pupils and staff in this selective, co-educational London day school. Applicants need to be ordained ministers in the Church of England and to have the skills, experience and personal attributes to work successfully with young people aged 11 to 18 from all faiths and none. The Assistant Chaplain is likely to teach in the Senior School as part of his or her ministry, either as a subject specialist or by contributing to the School’s PSHE programme. The ability to contribute to the wider life of the school will be a recommendation.
