Time still left to TAP

02 November 2006

PASSIONTIDE already, and the running total in our Lenten appeal for the Church Times Train-A-Priest (TAP) Fund stands at £74,445, thanks to the efforts of our readers. That figure includes Gift Aid to be reclaimed, and gifts earmarked for the Special Hardship Fund.

The Gift Aid form was printed in last week’s Church Times, will appear next week, and is included in our full-colour TAP leaflets. These are still available. The Fund stays open until Pentecost; so there is still plenty of time to hold a special collection in church, or slip a leaflet in every hymn-book.

Leaflets will be sent promptly to those who request them. Stating how many, write to the Editor, Church Times, 33 Upper Street, London N1 0PN; email letters@churchtimes.co.uk; or phone 020 7359 4570.

The TAP Fund helps married and single ordinands in full-time training for the priesthood in the Church of England. The TAP Special Hardship Fund exists to help any ordinand, training for the priesthood in the C of E, whose training is jeopardised by unforeseen financial difficulty.

Send to TAP Fund, G. J. Palmer & Sons, 16 Blyburgate, Beccles, Suffolk NR34 9TB.

If you wish to earmark a donation for either part of the Fund, please do so in a covering note. CAF or Sovereign Giving cheques are welcomed.
