MU members team up with TAP Fund runner
![]() |
| TODAY is St Mark’s Day, when we pray that we may be established in the truth of the gospel; but the Lord helps those who help themselves; so why not give today to the Church Times Train-A-Priest (TAP) Fund? And please, if you are in church, say one for the TAP runner in the 53-mile Highland Fling race tomorrow, Stuart Mair. Mr Mair competed in the Spring Treble race at Hanchurch Woods, Newcastle under Lyme, last week. He was 58th out of 105, at 38 minutes 5 seconds. He must complete tomorrow’s race in 15 hours. It is a great test of endurance. His TAP sponsorship now stands at £670, boosted by the Mothers’ Union members who had their mass at Holy Evangelists’, Normacot, on Monday. Mr Mair played the organ for it — and put in a word for TAP. This year’s TAP marathon is drawing to a close. The grand total will be announced on the Friday before Whitsun. Send now to: TAP Fund, G. J. Palmer & Sons, 16 Blyburgate, Beccles, Suffolk NR34 9TB. Please use the Gift Aid form. |
