Feeding the 5000
30/11/2009 15:00:00
![]() |
Organisers of 'Feeding the 5000' will provide a free lunch for up to 5000 people in Trafalgar Square on the 16th December. The meal will be made up of food that would otherwise have been wasted. The aim is 'to highlight the ease of cutting the unimaginable levels of food waste in the UK and internationally'.
See the official website for more: Feeding the 5000
Organiser Tristram Stuart's website is well worth a look - see in particular the photographs of wasted food.
The Diocese of London is one of the partners, and the Bishop of London will speak at the event: Feeding the 5000
