From Funky Doo on the future of ministry:

"I can't help feeling that Winchester is going to have massive repercussions - either it's going to make people come out and fight, accusing them of making the wrong decision, of being short sighted or only wanting to maintain the easy parts of ministry without thinking about mission or kingdom. The other response could also be that people see them as setting the standard ("if Winchester can, why can't we?...)"

This is me about 5 years ago in Bradford & lessons weren't learnt. when it happens in Winchester it hits the news. Southern bias?

More in next comment -due to word limitation.

Sorry about previous comment: didn't know that not only was comment space limited (could do with a warning) but that a follow-on comment was something that couldn't be done. For full comment see http://nouslife.blogspot.com/2009/12/chaplaincy-funding.html
