Archbishops unite for The Wave service and march

19/11/2009 12:40:00

Large numbers of Christians are expected in London on 5 December for a prayer service during which Dr Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, and the Catholic Archbishop of Westminster, the Most Rev Vincent Nichols will contribute. The service will start at 11am. After the service worshippers will merge with thousands of others on 'The Wave', expected to be the biggest ever a climate justice march. © not advert

What a fantastic and encouraging day. We started off in Westminster Central Hall for the ecumenical service. The Archbishop gave a sharp, focussed talk about God's creation that we are part of it, and the need for us to go out and proclaim God's Good News. Telling us that we should be joyful, was a great way to send us out onto the March. Each of us were asked to attach a cut-out of praying hands on our banners. How good it was to walk with 1000's of others and see praying hands around us.
