General Synod considers cutting committees and bishops

The two stories that have made the news are from yesterday's sessions. First of all the uninterestingly named but important 'review of constitutions', which would have meant the abolition of a number of central CofE boards and committees and their replacement with individuals:
The other, more obviously newsworthy item, was a proposed reduction in the number of bishops, entitled 'Episcopal and Senior Church Appointments':
