Megachurches: ‘Upbeat, but untaxing’
STAGECRAFT, sensory pageantry, charismatic leadership, and an
"upbeat, unchallenging vision of Christianity" enable megachurches
to be "potent purveyors of rich, affective experiences", which
generate "heightened spirituality", a new study from the
University of Washington suggests.
