IT WAS declared to be an evening of "excellent value" when 170
people sat down to a four-course dinner in three tepees in a large
field at Farlington, north of York. They had been
welcomed with a glass of Pimms, and canapés, and the menu included
roast pork, salads, desserts, and cheese and biscuits, followed by
coffee with mints - all for £20 a head. Bottles of wine were
£10.
