NZ rejects Covenant

THE Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia has rejected the Anglican Covenant, but insists that it is committed to the life of the Anglican Communion.

Its synod said that it was unable to support the motion, owing to Clause 4, which speaks of "relational consequences" for those who err.
