Alone again, naturally
DO YOU find that, the older you get, the more you look forward to being on your own? I don’t mean permanently, of course: I would go stark, staring mad on a desert island with no gossip (let alone the magic combo of coffee/cake/gossip).
An hour or two’s solitude, however — coming home to an empty house, or getting it back to yourself after people have left, or sitting in the hairdressers’ with a magazine while everyone ...
