Mental hurt of piracy ‘is untreated’
A NEW report prepared by the Seamen's Church Institute (SCI)
suggests that more needs to be done to help seafarers deal with the
mental legacy of being taken hostage by pirates.
The report, The Psychological Impact of Piracy on
Seafarers, was compiled in collaboration with the Mount Sinai
School of Medicine, in New York. "No attempts to describe the
