Charities aid Kenyan poor with milk and honey

ONE of the largest refugee camps in the world, Dadaab, in Kenya, now has schools attended by thousands of children, thanks to a global network of churches.

Nearly 453,000 Somalian refugees live in the huge Dadaab camp in north-eastern Kenya, which covers a radius of about 20 kilometres (News, 20 July).

The new schools are funded by the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), part of the ACT alliance of Churches, which responds to emergencies. The LWF runs six schools in the camp, ...
