End Libyan raids, says bishop

THE leading Roman Catholic cleric in Libya, the Apostolic Vicar of Tripoli, Bishop Giovanni Martinelli, has called on NATO to end its bombing campaign against Colonel Gaddafi’s forces.

He was speaking after being taken, with other Christian clerics, to a morgue to see the body of one of the Libyan leader’s sons, Saif al-Arab.
