Conscientious objector faces court martial

A CHRISTIAN charity is supporting the case of a Leading Medical Assistant in the British Navy who faces a court martial for refusing to carry out rifle training.
Michael Lyons applied for conscientious-objector status before leaving for a tour of Afghanistan, but was turned down. He was told that his objection was political rather than moral.
