John Gay fears that RE will be downgraded if it remains off the Baccalaureate curriculum

In recent days, Religious Education has suffered three serious hits that, if not quickly repaired, could end up sinking the subject.

First, RE has been left out of the English Baccalaureate curriculum. The EBacc is clearly one of the flagship ideas for improving educational standards, and will be here to stay.
