THE Archbishop of Canterbury has been accused by Christian Pales­tinian groups of making “inaccurate and erroneous remarks” about the plight of Christians in the Holy Land.

The co-ordinator of Kairos Pal­estine, Rifat Kassis, and the director of Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center in Jerusalem, Canon Naim Ateek, wrote separate letters to Dr Williams asking why, in an interview on the BBC’s World at One on 14 June, he did not mention Israel’s occupation of ...
