Registrar ruling reversed

LILLIAN Ladele, the Christian regis­trar who claimed she experi­enced discrimination at Islington Coun­cil in London, after asking for exemp­tion from conducting same-sex civil ceremonies, plans to take her case to the Court of Appeal after re­ceiving a setback at an Employ­ment Appeal Tribunal

The tribunal overturned a decision made in July which ruled that Miss Ladele had suffered unlawful dis­crimi­na­tion because of her Christian beliefs (
