Bishop: women ok

A SYDNEY rector consecrated as Bishop of the Australian diocese of Canberra & Goulburn last weekend has told interviewers that he has no problem with women bishops.

The Rt Revd Stuart Robinson, aged 49, was Rector of Chatswood, on the north shore of Sydney, when he was elected by the Canberra & Goulburn diocesan synod last year. One of the other candidates was the Ven. Dr Sarah Macneil, an archdeacon, and Rector of All Saints’, in Canberra (
