Welsh bishop to retire

The Bishop of Swansea & Brecon, the Rt Revd Anthony Pierce, will retire on 16 January next year, his 67th birthday, the diocese announced this week. Bishop Pierce has served all his 42-year ministry in the diocese, after studying history at the University of Wales, Swansea, and theology at Ripon Hall and at Linacre College, Oxford.
