FOR the first time, a Bishop of Sodor & Man, the Rt Revd Robert Paterson, has ordained a woman priest. The Revd Margaret Burrow (next to the Bishop) was the second woman to be priested on the Isle of Man, but the first by the diocesan bishop.

She was supported by two other “firsts”: Canon Sue Huyton (second from right) was the first woman ordained as priest in Wales, and (far right) the Revd Mary Railton-Crowder was the first woman to ...
