Sunday schools are there to help the children develop their faith, but how that is done, and by whom, are important questions, says Ronni Lamont
WHEN I trained to be a teacher, I spent three years learning my profession. During those years I undertook subject-specific, educational, and professional studies. My competence was judged through essays and reviews, teaching practice, and examination.
After this training, during my first year in school, I had a mentor to guide me though the difficulties and stresses of being a new teacher.
