A a service of dedication marks the centenary of the West front of Hereford Cathedral, designed by Oldrid Scott, last Sunday (above). The medieval front collapsed in 1786 (top left), and its unadmired plain-styled 1796 replacement by James Wyatt (middle left) was in turn replaced by Scott’s in 1908 (bottom left) Photos: Hereford Cathedral |
