Wearing the word
by Ed Beavan
![]() |
A couple based in east London, Daniel and Angela Humphreys, have launched a new range of Christian clothing. As part of their Gospel Trends label, they have unveiled a new menswear collection inspired by their faith. Their garments (above and below) include combat trousers, shirts, and suit jackets, which are emblazoned with words from the Bible, such as Revelation 16.15: “Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on . . .” |
![]() | Mr Humphreys says that their design process is completely Christian “from conception to production”, employing believers at every stage. The clothes are manufactured ethically by a Christian company in Wales. “We sit down with a blank canvas and pray, and ask the Holy Spirit for direction, and are normally directed to a key verse. It’s great to be putting God’s word in the fashion world. People are walking about with God’s word on their clothes, and will hopefully think about the Christian faith and look into it.” www.gospeltrends.com |
