LICHFIELD continued to progress in the Church Times Cricket Cup this week, as they defeated Worcester by a whisker on Monday, at the Worcestershire County Ground.

Williams took a creditable 3 catches. In reply, Lichfield reached the target in the 40 overs — Hack scored 58 on the way — although Finch proved equal to the bowling standard set, taking 5 for 35. The scores were then tied on 188; Lichfield gained the points by virtue of having one wicket standing.
