Eddies I have known — and confused
|
From Canon David Winter Sir, — I owe an apology to my old friend Eddie Shirras, whom I have known for 40 years, that in describing his admirable feat in the invention of the name “Parkway” I managed to call him “Gibbs”. He will know why, but that means I must also apologise to Eddie Gibbs, formerly of the Bible Society, who didn’t invent the name “Parkway”. Incidentally, all the other facts were true.
