Where would Jesus live? A cottage in Scotland
by Ed Beavan

| IF Jesus walked the earth today, he would attend the Glastonbury Festival and use social-networking sites such as Facebook, respondents to a survey have suggested. The poll was commissioned by the Congregational & General insurance group in the run-up to the National Christian Resources Exhibition at Sandown Park in Esher next week. From a sample of more than 1500 people, 35 per cent believed that Jesus would embrace modern events such as Glastonbury to spread his message. Almost 40 per cent of the Christians among the respondents thought that Jesus would opt for Facebook; 31.5 per cent believed that churches would be one of his favoured venues for preaching. When asked: “Which type of property would Jesus be most likely to live in the UK today?”, almost half felt he would adopt a rural lifestyle; just 6.7 per cent thought he would live in an inner-city tower block. The largest single group of those polled (28 per cent) suggested Jesus would live in Scotland; 6.7 per cent said the Home Counties. |
