DEHQANI-TAFTI. — On 29 April, the Rt Revd Dr Hassan Barnaba Dehqani-Tafti: Vicar of St Luke’s, Isfahan, Iran (1949-61); Bishop in Iran (1961-90); Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East (1976-86); Hon. Assistant Bishop of Winchester (1982-2005); aged 87.

LAMB. — On 30 April, the Revd John Romney Lamb: Chaplain to the Forces (1955-70); Vicar of Horsell (1970-76); Dorking with Ranmore (1976-82); Priest-in-Charge of Charing Heath with Egerton (1982-83); Priest-in-Charge of Pluckley with Pevington (1982-83); Rector of Egerton with Pluckley (1984-87); aged 86.

POUNDE. — On 30 April, the Revd Nigel Pounde: Priest-in-Charge of St Paul’s, Pulau Pinang, West Malaysia (1980-82); Vicar of St George’s, Penang (1981-86); Team Leader of North-West Malaysia (1984-86); Team Vicar of St Chad’s, Wolverhampton (1987-97); Interfaith Officer of Lichfield diocese (1992-97); HIV Services Manager of Terence Higgins Trust (1997-2000); Rector of St Mary’s, Newport-on-Tay (2001-2); Church of Scotland HIV/AIDS Project Co-ordinator since 2002; aged 61.

ZACHAU. — On 18 April, the Revd Eric Zachau: Vicar of Beadnell (1963-69); Earsdon (1969-81); Bamburgh and Lucker (1981-95); Bamber and Beadnell (1995-01); Rural Dean of Bamburgh and Glendale (1992-97); aged 77.
