Politics and faith do mix, says Timms

PROGRESSIVE politics must not view faith as an enemy or relegate it to the private sphere, the Government Minister Stephen Timms said in a speech in London.
The Financial Secretary to the Treasury and Labour MP for East Ham, he was speaking during an event “Faith: Helping build a politics based on hope”, at Westminster Central Hall on Thursday of last week.
