Bishop pleads for woman sentenced to death

THE Bishop of Colombo, the Rt Revd Duleep de Chickera, has asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to intervene on behalf of a Sri Lankan woman who has been sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia after being found guilty of killing a baby. The Bishop says that Rizana Nafeek, who was 17 when she went to work as a housemaid in Saudi Arabia five years ago, was too inexperienced to handle the situation when the baby in her care started ...
