DAVID Grundy, who died on 29 July, aged 76, was a pianist, organist, composer, and schoolmaster, whose musical gifts brightened many lives.

While studying at the Royal Academy of Music, he was assistant organist at All Souls’, Langham Place, and St Mary’s, Islington. After spells in Kent and Oxfordshire, he moved to Shropshire in 1971, to become Director of Music at Adams Grammar School, Newport, and ...
