IT WAS the second time that lead had been stripped from the south-aisle roof of St Mary’s, Launton, in Oxford diocese, despite the nailing down of the replacement lead extra thoroughly. But it was only later in the day that the Team Vicar, the Revd Margaret Mullins (above), realised that another 12 pieces had also gone from an area of the nave roof not easily seen.
