THIS painting by Norman Adams, one of the country’s leading religious artists in the 20th century, who died in 2005, reminds us that life comes from death by the transforming mysteries of a butterfly coming from a chrysalis. Like “birds raised on crossed wings”, the butterfly cross can remind us of resurrection in the world.
