Sir, — There have been many excellent religious TV programmes since Aaqil Ahmed became head of religion at the BBC (Features, 5 February), and I look forward to the promised increased coverage at Easter.

I take issue, however, with Mr Ahmed’s idea that there would be no audience for broadcasts of ordinary Sunday worship. There are thou­sands of elderly people, ...
