Gay marriage subject to free vote

CONSERVATIVE MPs will be given a free vote on the legalisation of same-sex marriage. Among those opposing the move is the Northern Ireland Secretary, Owen Paterson, who told a constituent on 16 May that, “having considered the matter carefully”, he could not support it.
