ST CLEMENT's, Higher Openshaw, in Manchester diocese, together with the Boaz Trust and partner churches, runs a night shelter for destitute asylum-seekers and refugees. Every night, a volunteer team collects, feeds, and accommodates a growing group of men who would otherwise sleep on the streets and resort to scavenging for food.
